Adams tabbed for Ashland AD post
Congrats to former Marlboro and Nashoba basketball coach Jim Adams on being named the new athletic director at Ashland last week. Adams, currently an assistant principal at Millbury High, takes over for former Nashoba Regional girls’ basketball coach Naomi Martin, who resigned to take the athletic director’s spot at Lexington High.
Gill brings Stanley Cup home
Former Nashoba Regional star Hal Gill — a recent inductee into the school’s first Hall of Fame class — will bring the Stanley Cup to the school on Thursday, August 13. Gill, who won the Cup this year with Pittsburgh, will host “Coffee with the Cup” in the Nashoba gymnasium, with the time of the event to be determined at a later date. Fans will be able to meet Gill — a former football, basketball and baseball star for the Chieftains — and have their picture taken with the Stanley Cup. Admission is $10 per person and includes the opportunity for a photograph with Gill and the Cup. Fans are welcome to bring their own cameras, but professional photos will also be taken and available for purchase after the event. All proceeds will go toward the Community Competition Complex project at the high school.
